BETWEEN US AND THE TREES: Conversations in The Secret Language of Nature

Since moving to the Bay area, trees have been a central theme in Donna’s work, with the patterns of bark being a particular inspiration. She is drawn to this more intimate inspection through daily walks with her dog. It occurred to her to try to drypoint maps of these walks to print on top of the bark reduction woodcuts. This stochastic imagery has become an intriguing new direction, an example of which can be seen in the show Between Us and the Trees, curated by John Greco, at the Center for the Arts Eagle Rock.

Exhibition Dates: April 1 through April 27, 2023
Opening Reception & Awards Ceremony: April 1 from 3 to 6 p.m.
