Contains six matted archival pigment prints from gouache paintings of bark in the artist's neighborhood, a booklet in letterpress containing two wood engravings (including "Old Oak," pictured right), one scan of a piece of tree without bark, and a magnifying glass to encourage people to look more closely at nature.

The genus name for "oak," Quercus is printed in two versions. The image is a wood engraving printed over four photogravures. The photogravures are printed on Gampi, Chine-colléed onto Arches 88 for the taller book and onto surface Gampi for the 8" tall book. the 12" tall book is in an edition of 6 and the 8" book is in an edition of 10.
